We Want To Help

  • The aging workforce is a new phenomenon, and many employers are just recognizing the associated challenges and opportunities.
  • Employers often face many competing demands and attending to a new strategic initiative requires resources and support that may not be readily available.
  • The AIMS team can assist with your efforts to move forward, whether it be your first step or advancing on what your company already has done.

Resources

There are many ways you can learn about the aging labor force and advance your strategic responses.

You can…
  • Attend professional meetings to connect and learn about other best practices from age-friendly employers from across the state.
  • Review reports on the longevity economy and how a multigenerational workforce positions your organization to best meet the needs of your diverse clients.
    • Example: Learn about the added economic benefits afforded to employers who make an effort to develop an age-friendly workplace.
    • Resource:  The Longevity Economy Outlook
  • Examine and employ best practices from other third-party resources.
    • Example: Identify additional opportunities to develop policies and programs to reach your experienced employee workforce.
    • Resource:  Special Committee on Aging Report
  • Recognize how these policies and programs benefit you as an employee, and how you want your organization to support your growth as an employee.
    • Example: Implement practices that will build the structure of your organization as an attractive place for applicants and employees to grow and learn.
